Despite my reservations with how the device works, I actually found myself responding to the challenge of collecting 3,000 daily Fuel points. I took the stairs more often and was more likely to add additional walking to my commute. It wasn’t revolutionary: I didn’t become a marathoner overnight.
I HATE when someone conservative dies because America and the Internet pretends they aren fake af (and I say this as I sit here loving America) and fucking pops bottles over this shit. Maybe it because I dealt with the death of two loved ones, including my mom, in the past two years, but I can find it in my heart to be absolutely leaping with joy when anyone dies, regardless of how terrible they are. Except for Hitler or Trump.
Over the past week, I have posted five pieces on the state of innovation in China. First, in “China as an Innovation Nation,” I provided a portrait of China’s innovation drive, describing its scale and success model. Next, in “Why is innovation so important to China?” I laid out the historical context for the centrality of innovation in China’s national strategy (After all, this is the country that invented the compass, gunpowder and printing.) The third piece, “Chinese innovation paper tiger or king of the hill?” attempted to go beyond the “black or white” rhetoric that characterizes much of the current debate on how real and significant China’s innovation drive is in order to shape the conversation about how others need to respond to it.

But it’s worth pointing out that the plains region in the center of the map has a disproportionately low number of bee related deaths relative to its population. If you’re deathly allergic to bees (literally) and are really serious about minimizing your chances of a sting, best pack your bags and head to North Dakota..
